AB Treeworkers: The welfare of your trees, our passion

WHAT IS CABLING?

As the name implies, cabling consists of installing cables to support heavy branches that risk breaking off because they cannot support their own weight.

Ab treeworkers will set up different kinds of supportive cabling to suit different situations, depending on the weight and the diameter of the branch.

Cabling

An example of a scenario where cabling is useful:

A large branch of an old tree growing over your veranda should be cut off because it might otherwise break and fall.

However, cutting the branch would, as always, put a strain on the tree. Because the tree is old, it will not necessarily be capable of recovering from the removal of a large branch, which leaves a considerable wound. There is a considerable risk that the tree would die from infections if the branch was to be cut off. The problem can be solved with cabling.

With cabling we can give the branch the support it needs, the need to cut it off can be avoided and the tree beautiful old can be kept intact. Should the branch break off in a storm for example, the veranda will be safe, as the cabling will keep the branch from falling.

Should the branch later break, we will naturally be available with the minimum of delay to remove the dead branch from the tree and to cut off the stump and treat the wound appropriately.
